The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office says they put the SHE in SHEriff at competition

The sheriff's office says three of their female deputies put the SHE in SHEriff when they competed in the 2nd Annual Tar River Top Gun Shooting Competition in Edgecombe County.

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) -One of three female Pitt County Sheriff’s deputies competing in a shooting competition took home top honors.

The sheriff’s office says three of their female deputies put the SHE in SHEriff when they competed in the 2nd Annual Tar River Top Gun Shooting Competition in Edgecombe County.

Deputy/SRO Mariah Hudson won first place in the individual Precision Rifle event and 3rd place in the individual Combat Course event.

The Second Annual Tar River Top Gun Shooting Competition is an event that brings law enforcement women together from different agencies along the Tar River to compete in individual events.

Individual events include Handgun Qualification, Precision Rifle, POPAT (Physical Standards), and Combat Course, then for the title of Overall Female Top Gun Champion.

In addition to Deputy Guisado, Deputy Mariah Hudson, Community Impact Unit, SRO, and Deputy Elizabeth Krohn, Patrol Division, Uniformed Patrol Unit, also competed.
