The SBI says Kristen Graham has been charged with death by distribution.

KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) – An autopsy confirms that a woman who was found dead in an Eastern Carolina jail cell in January died of a drug overdose.

Stephanie Osowski was discovered unresponsive in her Lenoir County jail cell on January 20th.

Osowski, who was from Millsboro, Delaware, had been in jail since this past June and was being held for multiple drug-related offenses, including trafficking in opium/heroin.

The 40-year-old woman’s autopsy, which was released today, listed her cause of death as fentanyl toxicity.

The SBI charged fellow inmate Kristen Graham with death by distribution. Deputies said Graham brought the drugs into the jail inside a body cavity.
