GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – A woman was shot Friday night and was flown to ECU Health, according to Latoya Henry with the Goldsboro Police Department.

Goldsboro police’s Investigative Services Bureau and Crime Scene Unit responded to a call from UNC Health Wayne around 9:51 p.m.

When the police arrived, they found 18-year-old Kayla Jones with a gunshot wound.

Jones was flown to ECU Health for further treatment and is now in stable condition.
