Woman charged with stabbing man outside Craven County store

CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina woman is accused of stabbing a man in the parking lot of a convenience store on Sunday.

Craven County deputies say Tiffany Delgado has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and resisting arrest.

The stabbing happened around 2:20 p.m. Sunday outside of A&E Stop & Shop on Highway 17 outside of Vanceboro.

Deputies say they found Jonathan Sparks stabbed in the chest, He was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening wound.

The stabbing appears to be the result of a domestic dispute between the two people.

The 43-year-old Delgado is being held on a $25,000 secured bond.
