WILSON, N.C. (WITN) – The Wilson Police Department says it is mourning the loss of one of its K9 officers.

In a Facebook post Friday, the department wrote, “With a heavy heart, the Wilson Police Department would like to announce K9 Argo has passed away. Please pray for Officer K. Randolph, his family, and other K9 Officers as they grieve this loss.”

No further information was provided about the circumstances of Argo’s death.
