GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A Greenville woman is behind bars after hitting and injuring a person, according to police.

A warrant obtained by WITN says that Shaquan Hemby hit Niya Artis with a gray sedan on August 4th at 402 B Darden Drive, injuring Artis.

Hemby is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and felony hit and run inflicting injury.

She is in the Pitt County Jail under a $20,000 bond.
