GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Police in the east say the investigation is ongoing, but they’ve found who was involved in the dispute leading to a shooting at an Eastern Carolina sports bar.
The Greenville Police Department says investigators have identified the people involved in a fight that led to gunshots Sunday evening at Tie Breakers on Smythewyck Drive.
A WITN employee at the sports bar says two men were fighting one another on the patio.
Lt. Justin Wooten with Greenville police confirmed that a 32-year-old man was shot and taken to ECU Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the shooting happened outside the business and resulted from the fight.
Wooten says a firearm was recovered from the scene and two men were brought to the station for questioning.
Wooten also says the situation is still under investigation, however, he expects charges to be brought against those involved later this week.
