UPDATE: RiverStreet internet says service is restored to all residential customers

BEAUFORT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Internet service has been restored after a power outage that left Beaufort County residents without service for much of Tuesday.

According to RiverStreet customer support, service was restored around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

RiverStreet says they experienced a widespread service outage in Belhaven, Bath, Pinetown, and Washington.

They said their team worked diligently to restore internet services as quickly as possible and apologized for any inconvenience.

Callers to WITN expressed their frustration saying they did not have service Tuesday. Some said they work remotely and didn’t know how they would be able to if service wasn’t restored.

RiverStreet said a core router issue caused the outage.
