GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A man is being charged with a DWI after a Greene County crash that left one person in critical condition.
The crash happened Friday around 11:30 a.m. at Oakdale and Davis roads, west of Snow Hill.
According to Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Juan Jimenez-Flores was driving a brown GMC truck when he went through a stop sign.
David Rouse, 61, was coming from the other direction in a white Ford truck and hit the right side of Jimenez-Flores’ truck, causing him to spin around.
Tammy Howell, 38, was driving a black Lexus and was behind Rouse. The initial accident in the roadway resulted in Howell hitting Jiminez-Flores’ truck on the driver’s side, throwing his vehicle into the ditch.
Hospital officials say Rouse is still at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville in critical condition Monday morning. Jimenez-Flores is being charged with failure to stop at a stop sign and driving while impaired.
According to Highway Patrol, all three drivers were not wearing seatbelts.
