UPDATE: New Bern police investigating after complaints of teens with guns

NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) -New Bern police say complaints of juveniles with guns Monday afternoon led to the discovery of three males and the recovery of three guns, one of which they say was stolen.

Around 1:37 p.m., officers responded to First Avenue and Cedar Street about the complaint. The caller reported seeing juveniles with weapons in the area.

Two juveniles were taken into secure custody and the other, a 15-year-old, was released to a parent.

A 17-year-old was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver counterfeit control substance schedule II.

A 16-year-old is charged with possession of a stolen firearm.

New Bern police say they expect the 16 and 17-year-old to also face possession of a firearm by a minor and resist, obstruct, and delay charges.

The 15-year-old is facing a resist, obstruct, and delay charge.
