UPDATE: Multiple crews extinguish house fire in Pitt County

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Firefighters say they were able to put out the blaze at a home in Pitt County on Saturday.

According to the Red Oak Community Rural Fire Department, the fire at Doolittle Court was extinguished by midnight.

Assistant Fire Chief Michael Brown says apparatus remain at the scene.

Firefighters are working the scene of a fire in Pitt County on Saturday.

Video sent to WITN shows the home at Doolittle Court with heavy flames.

According to Pitt County Emergency Management Director, Randy Gentry, as of 9:45 pm crews were still battling the blaze and there was no other information at that time.
