GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Police in Greenville said that they have found the mother of a newborn baby that was found in a dumpster on Sunday.
Police said that the mother is a teenager and that the North Carolina Department of Social Services has been called into assist with the investigation.
No charges have been filed in the case.
Police said that the baby is doing well at ECU Health Medical Center.
Police got a call to 1574 Bridle Circle on Sunday around 10:20 a.m. for a report that a child was found in a dumpster near an apartment building.
