Unknown gunmen shoot up multiple homes in Scotland Neck

SCOTLAND NECK, N.C. (WITN) – Multiple homes were hit by gunfire late Sunday night in one Eastern Carolina town.

Scotland Neck police say they were sent to Chestnut and East 11th streets around 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

No one was hit by the gunfire and so far no one is in custody.

Authorities believe that it is the same small group of violent young adults/teens they have arrested and been dealing with for two years.

Last November, the town enacted an emergency curfew after police received more than a dozen similar calls.

Police continue to ask residents to step forward and report any suspicious activity to them or Halifax County Crime Stoppers at (252) 583-4444
