Two women found dead in Goldsboro at a police welfare check

GOLDSBOORO, N.C. (WITN) – Two women were found dead when police went for a welfare check in a city on the East.

Goldsboro police say Saturday just after 4:30 p.m. officers went to the 400 block of Fussell street for a welfare check.

When they arrived, they found two people who had suffered from gunshot wounds inside of a home.

Emergency Medical Personnel responded and pronounced both of them dead.

The two people were identified as Jamelle Monque Best, 53, and Elaina Michelle Ebersole, 44, both of Goldsboro.
