Two people in critical condition after shooting in Goldsboro

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – Police in one Eastern Carolina city say two people were critically wounded this morning after a shooting.

Goldsboro police say it happened around 8:30 a.m. in the area of Olivia Lane and Audubon Avenue. Police were first notified of the shooting thanks to a ShotSpotter alert.

Bennell Garner, 39, and Latesha Pearsall, 32, both of Goldsboro, are at ECU Health Medical Center in critical condition.

Police have not released any information on a possible suspect in the shootings.
