Two more charged in Williamston deadly shooting

WILLIAMSTON, N.C. (WITN) – Two more arrests have been made in a shooting that killed one man and wounded another late last year.

Williamston police today announced the arrests of Ja’lyn Rogers and Delon Manteca.

Rogers was arrested February 22 in Washington, while Manteca was caught the next day in Redondo Beach, California.

The two, along with Q’Zavieon Blount, of Windsor, are accused in the December 16th shooting on Melbourne Avenue and MLK Jr. Drive.

That shooting killed Tydrain Huff, and wounded Brantaveon Parker. Police said the two men were in a vehicle when they were hit by the gunfire.

Rogers was jailed on a $1 million bond, while Manteca remains in a California jail awaiting a hearing to return him to North Carolina to face charges.
