Two men wounded in separate Elizabeth City shootings

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WITN) – Police say a shots fired call led to the discovery of a man suffering from a gunshot wound in Elizabeth City.

They say it happened on Saturday night at approximately 10:47 pm in the area of Tatem Lane.

Authorities say they arrived in the area and were directed to a 30-year-old male patient at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers say they later determined the incident occurred in the area of Cahoon Street and Butlers Lane where several shell casings were recovered.

Police also responded to a shots fired call around 2:30 p.m. at the 1800 Block of Weeksville Road and located a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
