Two men facing attempted murder charges after Goldsboro drive-by shooting

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – Two men are facing charges after a drive-by shooting.

The Goldsboro Police Department said that officers responded around 12:27 p.m. Monday to a ShotSpotter alert in the 1100 block of Olivia Lane.

Officers said they learned that several shots were fired from a vehicle at a group of people.

One of the victims was a 17-year-old boy, but police said that person was not injured.

Officers were able to get a description of the vehicle and around ten minutes later they said they found it in the 1900 block of Day Circle.

Police said several people were detained and that multiple guns were found in the vehicle.

Travion Hooker, 18, and Reginald Boyette, 22, were both charged with attempted 1st degree murder and firing from an enclosure. Hooker was also given an extra charge of carrying a concealed gun.

Both men are being held in the Wayne County Jail without bond.
