ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Fliers in eastern North Carolina can skip the long TSA lines with a new program Albert J. Ellis Airport is adopting.
The Onslow County airport will be hosting a TSA Precheck enrollment program from February 5th through the 9th from 9 a.m. to noon and then 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
TSA Precheck, according to the airport, is a service that will give access to those enrolled with smaller and faster check-in lines and that will not require you to remove and unzip your personal items. After completing the application and paying the $78 enrollment fee, you will be enrolled in this program for the next five years in any of the 200 participating airports nationwide.
Interim Airport Director Mitch Sprunger said that their previous event in November was a great success and looks forward to more signing up in February.
The airport says this event will be open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent citizens.
In-person enrollment requires that applicants provide proof of identity, proof of citizenship, fingerprints, and a photo.
