ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – The Highway Patrol has released the names of those involved in a deadly head-on crash in Onslow County.

Killed was Bobby Lee Rutherford, 44, of Jacksonville.

The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Catherine Lake Road and Fowler Manning Road in Onslow County. That is next to the Albert Ellis Airport.

Troopers say one of the two vehicles was making a left turn and was hit head-on.

The other driver was 24-year-old Nathaniel Denning, of Maple Hill.

Troopers say no charges have been filed in the crash as it is still under investigation.
