Tips for traffic and parking at Pitt County Schools graduations

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) -If you’re planning to attend any of the high school graduations at Minges Coliseum this weekend, Pitt County Schools has some parking advice.

The school system says there will be 2,800 parking spots at Minges, the stadium, as well as on the 14th Street and Elmhurst overflow lots.

Graduation at the Pitt County High Schools will be on Friday and Saturday.

The school system’s best advice is for people to be patient and understand that there could be heavy traffic. They say traffic will be pushed through as quickly as possible and that you should leave with enough time to get to the parking areas.

ECU police say people should avoid Chares and Greenville boulevards as much as possible.

Here are the times/days for the graduations:

  • D.H. Conley High School – 2:30 p.m. Friday
  • J.H. Rose High School – 6:30 p.m. Friday
  • South Central High School – 9:00 a.m. Saturday
