Three Kinston men arrested after 6-month long investigation

KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) – The Kinston Police Department says after a six-month-long investigation, three men are behind bars facing drug trafficking charges.

The police department’s Violent Crime Action Team closed an investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine with the arrests of three Kinston men: 53-year-old Robert Williams, 44-year-old Michael Fisher, and 47-year-old Perry Jones.

Investigators say warrants for the men’s arrest were served and warrants to search homes on the 1100 block of Macon Street were done simultaneously Wednesday, near Children’s Village Academy.

During the home searches, officials say K9 Kang found 170 grams of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and money.

All three men were charged with trafficking cocaine, conspiracy to traffic cocaine, possession with intent to sell/ distribute cocaine, possession with intent to sell/ distribute within 1,000 feet of a park, possession with intent to sell/ distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
