Thousands enjoy 10th annual Atlantic Beach Music Festival

ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. (WITN) – An annual beach music festival took place Saturday in one Eastern Carolina town.

The clouds and gloomy weather didn’t rain on Atlantic Beach’s parade, or festival rather. Saturday, the 10th annual Atlantic Beach Music Festival kicked off with thousands of people in attendance.

“I love listening to the live music and enjoying the beach at the same time,” attendee Haylee Quick said.

With multiple artists hitting the stage like The Embers, and plenty of food vendors, attendees were guaranteed to have a good time.

“We love it every time,” attendee Jeffrey Gunter said. “We try to bring our family down to have a great time.”

From people who are regulars at the festival to first-timers, attendee Kennedy Merritt said Saturday was a day to remember.

“It’s so much fun,” Merritt said. “I love hearing the music, the food is good, and being with friends just strengthens your bond and you can meet strangers and make new friends.”

So if you took a rain check this year, community members said to make sure it is circled on your calendar for next year.

“If you haven’t come to one, you do not need to stay home you need to come here,” attendee Yancey Warren said. “Ocean air, beach music, what else life could you want better than this.”
