HAVELOCK, N.C. (WITN) – Police in the east have arrested a teen for his involvement in an armed robbery Friday.
The Havelock Police Department says Sevon Godette, 19, voluntarily turned himself in Sunday morning.
Godette was issued a $150,000 secured bond and placed in Craven County Jail.
The 19-year-old teen from Havelock is being charged with armed robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury after investigations of an armed robbery happened at Woodfield Cove Apartments.
Police say an iPhone and a set of AirPods were stolen.
WITN is told that say Godette was armed with a silver-colored pistol when he broke into an apartment and that he forced a victim there at the time to his knees and hit him with the pistol.
Officials say the victim was taken to the hospital and later released.
