GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – WITN’s Teacher of the Week is Tiffany Phillips.
Phillips is a fourth-grade teacher at Grimesland Whitfield in Pitt County.
Her nomination says her positive attitude and heart help every single student excel, and “She is like winning the lottery in the teacher field and if you ever have the chance to cross paths with her, you will see exactly why.”
The Eastern Carolina native, who was born and raised in Greenville and a product of Pitt County Schools and East Carolina University, says she has a few everlasting goals: constantly reflect on how to make things better, research and try new things inside and outside of the classroom, and build positive/nurturing relationships within my profession with students, faculty, and staff.
Phillips shared that she is very quiet outside the classroom.
“I am the most introverted person there is, but when I am teaching I am the most extroverted person there is,” says Phillips. “Inside the classroom, I come alive and I am passionate about delivering engaging lessons to my students.”
