SWAT team arrest man at Greenville home on domestic violence-related charges

This morning, video was shared showing multiple officers and vehicles outside the Greenville home near the intersection of Arlington Boulevard.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Multiple unmarked law enforcement vehicles and a SWAT van were spotted outside an Eastern Carolina home Wednesday morning.

The Greenville Police Department Brez Simms was arrested by its Violent Criminal Apprehension Team and Emergency Response Team at home in Greenville at 708 Hooker Road around 8:30 a.m.

The police department says Simms was wanted on outstanding warrants related to three separate domestic violence situations. Officials say he’s accused of assaulting his girlfriend and attempting to break into her home.

WITN is also told that the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office is pressing charges against him for an unrelated car chase.
