Several North Carolina DMV fees increasing July 1st

RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) – Residents in North Carolina can expect to see an increase in the fees they pay to the state DMV this summer.

As directed by state law, the Division of Motor Vehicles is required to adjust fees and rates every four years.

These changes are based on a percentage change in the annual Consumer Price Index over the four years.

The division says about 90 license and registration-related fees are set to increase by 19.18%.
