Greene County Sheriff Matt Sasser says that Shayquan Williams was charged today with murder.

MAURY, N.C. (WITN) – Deputies in one Eastern Carolina county have made another arrest in the murder of a teenager that happened last month.

Back on January 28th, 17-year-old Anthony Williams was gunned down outside of a mobile home in Maury. The shooting happened on Rory Drive.

Last week, deputies charged Ja’von Dodd with the same murder.

Dodd, 20, was arrested and charged with an open court of murder for shooting death of William “Anthony” Williams Jr., according to the Greene County Sheriff's Office.

Sasser says robbery is believed to have been the motive in the deadly shooting.

The 18-year-old Williams, who is from Hookerton, is in jail with no bond.
