Saturday hours for 16 DMVs across the state returns

RALEIGH , N.C. (WITN) – Two driver license offices here in the east will offer special Saturday hours for the summer season.

The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles has announced the resumption of offering Saturday walk-in hours for 16 driver license offices across the state, with two of them being here in the east.

Walk-in services, according to the Department of Transportation, will be provided every Saturday between June 8 and Aug. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon. Those services will include card renewals or changes, REAL ID issuances, and road tests among others.

Those offices are:

  • Greenville, 4651 N. Creek Dr.
  • Jacksonville, 299 Wilmington Hwy.

“I continue to be focused on offering more opportunities for customers to receive services both online and during expanded hours,” said Commissioner Wayne Goodwin. “Opening for Saturday hours at many of our busiest locations statewide is what customers want, need, and have requested.”

The DMV adds to check whether you can complete your request online through their online services without needing to walk-in.
