REPORTS: Nursing home, hospital in Wilson on lockdown

WILSON, N.C. (WITN) – A nursing home in Wilson is on lockdown on Sunday night.

An Administrative Supervisor from Wilson Medical Center says it happened as a result of the lockdown at the Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Crestview Avenue.

According to NBC affiliate WRAL, authorities said they responded to a shots fired call at Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on 403 Crestview Avenue.

According to police, a dispute between two people in a relationship resulted in one shot being fired outside of the facility.

Police said no one was injured and the suspect ran from the scene.

Deputies in Nash County responded to a home on Nick Coley Road in Whitakers in reference to the incident in Wilson, but it is unclear if the suspect is there.

Police said this is an isolated incident, there is no threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
