Police searching for driver believed to be connected to Washington shooting

WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) – The Washington Police Department is looking for the driver of a vehicle in connection to a shooting on Saturday.

Authorities say at about 3:15 a.m., officers were called to the 300 block of West 9th Street area about a report of gunfire.

Upon further investigation, they found several shell casings and a damaged car.

The police department says video footage was later obtained showing a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed.

The victims in this case are uncooperative with the investigation, according to officials.
