Police say teenager killed at Goldsboro Food Lion

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – A teenager is dead after a shooting at an Eastern Carolina grocery store.

The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Food Lion on East Ash Street in Goldsboro. That location is at the Wayne Plaza Shopping Mall which also contains a state license plate agency.

Goldsboro police say they found 18-year-old Javon Langston near the entrance to the grocery store. Despite life-saving attempts, the teenager died at the scene.

A preliminary investigation showed that Langston and another man had a verbal dispute just before the shooting.
