Police say motorcyclist seriously injured in Greenville crash

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash that shut down part of a busy Greenville street this afternoon.

The crash happened around 2:00 p.m. on North Greene Street.

Greenville police say the motorcycle was heading north on the street when a car pulled out from the Speedway convenience store into its path.

The woman on the motorcycle was taken to ECU Health Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Officers say the other driver will be charged in the crash.

The street reopened to traffic about a half hour after the accident.
