Kinston, N.C. (WITN) – Police say an intoxicated woman tried to run over boyfriend with her car early this morning.

Kinston police say it happened on Old Snow Hill Road.

The call came in that someone was being chased by a car.

Keola Thompson, 23, was charged with DWI, assault with a deadly weapon, and damage to property.

Police say that Thompson was intoxicated, and tried to run over Jeronte Dudley, but that she hit a trash can, instead.

Dudley also went to jail for an unrelated warrant.
