ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) -An Eastern Carolina man on probation is facing charges after police say he was busted with several pounds of pot and a gun.

Rocky Mount Police said probation and parole officers contacted them after performing a probation search at the Hammond Street home of Turkise Petway, 29.

Officers with the drug unit went to the home after getting a search warrant and say they found 3.5 pounds of marijuana and a gun.

Petway was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for the controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation violation

Petway received no bond and was put in the Nash County Jail.
