JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Police in one Eastern Carolina city say a man is dead after they found him shot inside of a home in Jacksonville.

At around 1:00 pm today, police say they went to 134 Lakewood Dr. for a shooting.

They say when they got there, they found a man shot inside the home.

The man was taken to Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, and police say he was pronounced dead.

The department says they aren’t releasing his identity yet and are waiting until his family is notified.
