POLICE: Edenton man facing attempted murder charge following shooting, search continues for two men

The victim was taken to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

EDENTON, N.C. (WITN) – A man is facing charges after police said he shot a person Friday afternoon.

Edenton police say that Ky’Heem Stanley, 28, of Edenton, is charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and carrying a concealed weapon among other charges.

Officers were alerted by Acoustic Threat Detection technology to gunfire around 4:17 p.m. Friday. Officers went to 711 North Broad Street where they found one person shot.

They were taken to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville for their injuries.

Stanley is being held without bond.

Police say they are also looking for Eddie Andrews and Kra’Qon Whidbee in connection to this case.
