Police believe OBX man faked suicide to avoid capture on ‘peeping Tom’ & exposure charges

KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. (WITN) – Police on the Outer Banks believe a man faked his suicide and is trying to avoid being arrested on multiple “peeping Tom” and indecent exposure charges.

Jackie Price, of Kill Devil Hills, was reported missing on May 8th with police finding a suicide note at his home, but no body.

Kill Devil Hills police say a month earlier the 48-year-old Price was named as a suspect in an indecent exposure at Mcdonald’s and a “peeping Tom” case at Cavalier Motel.

The man’s cell phone was recovered, with police saying seven videos of women inside their motel rooms were found. The victims so far identified were 14, 33, 43, 51, and 63 years old.

Police believe Price’s suicide note was a smokescreen to avoid being arrested.

They suspect he has left the area, but may still be in contact with people in Kill Devil Hills.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Price should call the police at (252) 449-5337 during regular business hours or (252) 473-3444 after business hours.
