Police arrest teen in Williamston shooting death

WILLIAMSTON, N.C. (WITN) – A teenager is behind bars charged in a shooting last month that left one person dead and another injured.

Williamston police have charged 19-year-old Q’Zavieon Blount of Windsor with murder in the death of Tydrain Huff.

Police say back on December 16th they responded to the area of Melbourne Avenue and MLK Jr. Drive about a shooting. When officers arrived on scene they found a vehicle with gunshot damage and Huff suffering from a critical gunshot wound. He died several days later. A second person in the vehicle, Brantaveon Parker, suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Blount is in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail under no bond.
