GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – The Pitt County Girls Softball League 12u All-Stars won the Little League Softball World Series Host Regional championship Tuesday night defeating Johnston County 15-0 in 4 innings. The PCGSL team is made up of some of the players from last year’s World Series runner-up and will no doubt be a big draw at Stallings Stadium as the true hometown hosts. They outscored their opponents 36-1 at the regional. A team from Milano, Italy, has also clinched a spot.

The Little League Softball World Series is only a few weeks away now. The opening ceremony is on August 3rd at the Greenville Town Common from 6 to 8 pm.
