Pitt Community College wants public’s help deciding next president

WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A community college in the east is asking for the public’s help in deciding the school’s next president.

Pitt Community College is hosting two public forums today to allow the community the chance to voice their concerns, questions, and comments about the sixth president.

After more than 40 years in education, Lawerance Rouse is retiring. He has been at PCC since 2018.

Both forums will happen in the G. Henery Leslie Auditorium in room 143 on the school’s main campus.

The college says each event will last an hour with the first at noon and the second at 5 p.m.

Rouse is only the fifth president to serve in the school’s 63-year history.
