Pitt Community College narrows down choice for new president

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina community college has narrowed down to three choices for its next president.

Pitt Community College will now hold public input forums this week on the three finalists.

Those candidates are Dr. Roger Davis, Dr. Maria Pharr, and Dr. Nicole Reaves.

The community college will be hosting its 90-minute-long public forums, one hosted by each candidate, for the public to be introduced to them and a chance for questions to be answered.

  • Tuesday, June 18 with Dr. Reaves: 3:00 p.m., Davenport Multipurpose Room, Goess Student Center
  • Wednesday, June 19 with Dr. Davis: 3:00 p.m., Davenport Multipurpose Room, Goess Student Center
  • Thursday, June 20 with Dr. Pharr: 3:00 p.m., Davenport Multipurpose Room, Goess Student Center

The college’s Board of Trustees will then pick a new leader who will replace Dr. Lawrence Rouse who is retiring at the end of this month.
