Pitt Community College hires new small business director

WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Pitt Community College’s search for the ideal small business director ended with someone right in their backyard.

The community college says Halle Nobles, a Farmville native and a master’s graduate from East Carolina University, was chosen to be the director for the new Small Business Center.

Nobles spent two years as an International Business and Management instructor for ECU. She received a master’s degree in business and a bachelor’s in Foreign Languages and Literature with a concentration in German.

“My goal is to help people,” Nobles said. “I am a resource for the Pitt County community, at no cost, for people who are interested in starting their own business or expanding preexisting businesses.”

PCC will offer one-on-one counseling, other business resources, and free weekly seminars.

“Local entrepreneurs shouldn’t hesitate to reach out to me with their questions or to schedule appointments,” finished Nobles. “I’m here to help them succeed.”

The Small Business Center will be located within the Robert Lee Humbler building on the college’s campus.
