Pitt Co. Animal Services looking for public input on services

The board also hopes to hear suggested expectations for their new animal services director.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina animal shelter wants to know what residents think of its community impact.

This week the Pitt County Animal Services Advisory Board is hosting two sessions to get the public’s input on the programs and services of the animal shelter.

The board also hopes to hear suggested expectations for their new animal services director.

The former director, Chad Singleton, was charged with four counts of forgery, four counts of uttering, and two counts of obtaining property by false pretense. The charges he faces do not have a relation to the animal shelter.

The first session will be held today at the Mark W. Owens Auditorium Agricultural Center in Greenville from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The second will be on Thursday at the Community Schools & Recreation Center in Greenville at the same time.
