Pickleball tournament for Pearsall

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A pickleball tournament with a purpose is happening here in the East to bring awareness to mental health.

“This event isn’t just a competition; it’s a profound celebration of two lives that have profoundly touched ours, leaving a legacy of joy, kindness, and unwavering support for those around them,” Maria Pearsall said.

“Greg, my husband, and his son, Nick were remarkable individuals. Greg’s laughter and kindness were truly contagious, and Nick’s compassion was a trait we all remember. In their unique ways, their kindness knew no bounds. They had a special way of making everyone feel valued, seen, and heard, creating waves of positivity wherever they went. As we gather in their memory, we aim to extend their legacy, transforming our collective grief into a force for good. In honor of Greg and Nick, we are rallying support for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI),” Pearsall said.

Their goal is not only to celebrate the incredible lives of Greg and Nick but also to illuminate the path towards better mental health for all.

Pearsall’s message is that by supporting NAMI, we are contributing to a cause that was close to Greg’s heart, ensuring that his legacy of love and advocacy continues to make a difference.

By participating in this tournament and supporting NAMI, we are taking a step towards a world where mental health is prioritized, stigma is eradicated, and every individual has the support and resources they need to thrive.
