BAYBORO, N.C. (WITN) – A Pamlico County teacher has been recognized for her hard work over the last 30 years.
Sheri Hale, a STEM teacher with Pamlico County Middle School in Bayboro, was named the county’s 2024 Teacher of the Year. Pamlico County Schools said Hale has been a vital educator since her career began in 1988 at Fred A. Anderson Elementary.
“I am truly honored and grateful to be selected as our school district’s Teacher of the Year,” said Hale. “This recognition is not just a personal achievement, but a testament to the incredible support from my colleagues, students, and the entire school community.
The school system said Hale has been active in professional organizations alongside her education career. She has been affiliated with SkillsUSA, Twin Rivers Reading Council, and the North Carolina Association of Educators.
Hale called this moment the highlight of her career.
