ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – An accident involving a truck and a lawnmower has shut down one Eastern Carolina highway.

The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. near the intersection of Catherine Lake Road and Fowler Manning Road in Onslow County. That is close to the Albert Ellis Airport.

A WITN reporter says she can see the riding lawnmower underneath the truck. There is no word yet on the extent of injuries.

The highway is shut down in both directions and the Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
