Onslow Co. Sheriff’s Office K9 Gus receives body armor donation

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A K9 officer in one Eastern Carolina county received body armor in memory of a fallen compatriot.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office announced Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. donated a bullet and stab protective vest for K9 Gus. His vest was embroidered with the memory of K9 Hobbs.

The sheriff’s office says K9 Hobbs passed away on December 12 of last year.

K9 Gus’ new vest will come with a five-year warranty, according to the press release.
