One injured in shooting at Goldsboro Burger King

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a shooting where one person was injured after getting shot in the leg this morning, around 9:49 a.m.

This comes on the heels of yesterday’s murder at the Goldsboro Food Lion.

Officers responded to 1807 Wayne Memorial Drive and found a person with one gunshot wound to the leg.

21-year-old Tavion Jones from Pikesville said he heard the “pop” sound while walking through the Burger King parking lot.

Police say the injury was non-life threatening and Jones was transported to UNC Health Wayne.
