One hurt in Friday morning shooting in Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A man was hospitalized and released after an early morning shooting Friday.

Greenville police say just before 5 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a shooting at 255 Paladin Drive #1.

There, Eric Myrick was found with a gunshot graze wound.

Police say the 42-year-old man was taken to ECU Health Medical Center for treatment and released.

Greenville police say they believe the shooting involves people who know each other and was isolated to the apartment.

The department says officers are following up strong leads and the investigating is ongoing.
